so im in mt.pleasant now for a visit.
if i dont call you then im sorry... call me if you get this. i'll be here til saturday.
right now im looking for a new job, dustin has moved out into an apartment with some girls, and abby and i are trying to jog and get into shape.
i made friends with a girl on the bus ride from battle creek to lansing, we talked about horror films most of the way there. it was fun.

and my mom met the Fonz, henry winkler.
she sent me a picture. but i dont know how to do that and im not going to attempt it.
so if you need proof, you will just have to wait and i'll have my mother mail you a photo.

Mood: grumpy

so here i am at work. on a good hour long break or so.
i was supposed to work 7-close, but now im working 3:30-close... and we close at 11. so i'll get out of here by 12 and home by 1... then i have to open... so i have to wake up at 9:30am and not get home til about 6pm.

anyway, i got a hair cut and dustin might be getting a job with me at the stone.

i read things from people back at home and i hate feeling like im missing out on so much that goes on. i miss partying with the pixie crew and the family and i miss seeing all the other random people in my life.
i wish i'd actually get a good number of people to come down and see me. even though everyone says "yeah thats sounds awesome, i'll figure something out" it never happens. i feel like i dont have any close friends here... except maybe dustin and abby... but i live with them... and there is janine... and somewhat rana and kendal and dale... but i hardly see them.

im going to try and come home sometime soon, but im not sure if it will be worth it. it seems like everyone is super busy.

i bought weed from this random kid that came into work a day or two ago. apparently he sells to a bunch of people on the block. his name is dante, and he rad a friend in the car, named big steve. apparently they also sell coke and x.
interesting guy, real nice, but still a bit of a drug dealer.

i really dont want to go back upstairs and work... i like it in the basement... its quiet and i can sit down.

came home with abby
good ride down
went to her parents and ate shrimp
doug picked me up
went back and hung out with andrea and then alexia and sara and eventually abby
went to the bird
had a good time, til abby was drunk and over-reacted to me only wanting to "share" my last cigarette with her and not "give" her the whole thing. but im used to her outbursts.
it was rediculous though, so i went and found her a cigarette from someone else, which she could have done, she just wanted to try and make me do something, like she enjoys trying often.
anyway, i just dropped it and gave her a hug after she dropped me at dougs.
the key broke in the lock, but i got it out.
woke up and had to hang outside after doug and andrea left and wait for brian.
finished brians christmas shopping and came back to watch the lions and some of "the warriors" and drank coffee... oh, after breakfast.
then my stepdad ron picked me up, and we went to see "the ringer" which, working for special olympics, he had seen 2 years ago in DC during a survey about the movie, where the farrelly (sp?) brothers spoke about it. and S.O. fully backs the movies, it was nice.
then he made lobster tails and shrimp and noodles.
then i came to my mothers and hung out with my grandma for about an hour, talking to her about my moms boyfriend and then about chicago and she told me a story about one of her and my grandfathers first places a few months after they got married, above the music building at CMU, my grandpa was a music major and the trailers for married people got screwed up so they put them in there.
after that my mom came home and took me to some party down the road and i saw this kid owen i knew from high school and drank good beer from mountain town, owens dad is a brewer there. and i smoked pot with some older folks, including my moms b/f and owen.
it was a fun time.
christmas is now... its 1:03...

im back visiting mt.pleasant, for a birthday party that was on saturday and to go to the doctors.
i go back to chicago tomorrow morning

chicago has been fun although im having little luck meeting people.
janine is there and i enjoy hanging out with her and her roommate and her roommates boyfriend, although i dont get the chance to get over there that often.
there is also jen, but shes pretty much a flake about getting together.
i live in a latino neighborhood called pilson. its nice and im right by a blue line stop.
when i first got there i pretty much sat around all day watching tv (cheaters, tony danza, passions, ellen) and then i'd either get drunk with abby or we'd go out with dale.
i have been to a gay club called hydrate, which was an interesting experience. i got grinded on by a boy on the dance floor but i guess i was too drunk to realize it, abby informed me later as we passed the same guy on the street.
nicole came to visit and we went to see "Saw 2" and after the movie got out someone attempted to mug us. but i could see that the "gun" in his jacket was not a gun, but the classic hand in the shape of a gun. i told him i didnt have any money and asked him what would be the point in shooting us. i gave him some french fries and told him to have a good night.
i saw "Walk the Line" as well one night and wished that i and everyone else there could have some whiskey and a smoke while we all sang our hearts out, but i just sat there and got pumped by myself and tried not to sing too loudly.
i am now working at Coldstone and even though i have only worked 5 times, they tell me that they want me to manage a store in the next couple months. so yay for pay raises and cool young owners.
i couldnt make it home for thanksgiving so i decided to drink a couple beers and make some sandwiches for the homeless guys around. i went out that night and walked around wicker park and pilson passing them out. and then i came back home and ate some fish sticks and watched a movie with the cats.
i wish that i could stay here a little longer so i could hang out with more people, but i hopefully can catch up with some others later, or that some of them decided they'd like to go to chicago and have a free place to stay.
im currently reading Faust and loving it. i'd suggest it to anyone. we are finally getting heat in our apartment on wednesday and that will be nice. we had the pull out couch piled with blankets for almost a week and dubbed it "the vortex" because whoever came over to see us, never left its warm center.

hopefully i will be back up here come christmas time, but im trying to get a bunch of people to come down once cmu's finals are over for a big christmas party or something.
i possibly have a warrent out for my arrest here, but thats not my fault and im trying to figure out what exactly is going on.

anyway, i hope to have the internet soon in my apartment and when i do i will be able to speak more often to you all.
if you feel like calling or visiting my number is 989 572 8099
you'll have a warm place to stay by wednesday.
and some decent bars to hang out in.

Subject:bobo the monkey prince

i watched a thing on the national geographic channel today called "The Monkey Prince"

it was very interesting
and it made me want to be a monkey living in some old ruins

im going to my sisters wedding this weekend... its going to be rather odd. i havent seen my dad since last december and my brother is a horrible alcoholic... and on top of that my sister has turned from a simple country girl into a snooty thinks-shes-knows-it-all wine club member... with country tendancies... and still has white trash family members (half sister, got my dads side of the family, thats a little trashy, and her moms side is trashy too) and apparently we're having a classy sit down and eat reception.

i like the receptions where you go to a crappy Knights of Columbus hall and all the food is in warmers and you go up and put the food on your own plate and the bar consists of some liquor, a dozen or so two-liters, and a couple kegs.

but oh well, it will be fun

the week in jail was not that bad.
the food wasnt so horrible that i gagged everytime i had it.
i got along with my cellmates
except one night i got punched in the face by one of them
but he apologized the next day

i wrote everything down, somewhat of a journal
john is going to help me make a comic out of it.
i just have to get on making how i want the layout to be

and i am going to be moving to chicago on October 15th

i will have a going away party at my apartment with everything boxed up in it on Oct. 14th
thats a friday.

if you'd like to come it would be nice, since i wont be in mt.pleasant anymore.
but if you dont really care whether or not you see me, then thats ok.
give me a call if you want to hang out before my last month or so here is up.

delivery meeting at the pixie on monday.
i've got a few notes to go over with management.
i like being more responsible at work, and taking on a little bit more than i used to.
if it werent for terri and the fact that im moving, i think i could be a manager within a year.
but oh well, im not too worried about it.

im starting to freak out a little bit on the inside about going to jail.
dawn is going to get me into work as much as possible and do whatever so i dont have overtime but it looks like ive been working 12 hours a day. sucks not having overtime, but i dont mind sitting at the pixie for 5 hours doing nothing rather than sitting in a cell.

cory and hammis called me up last night around 2am and wanted me to come with them to a party at my friend kristas house. when they got there they told me about a mail box they hit and then later in the night when they were taking me back home, we hit another one. flew off like a rocket.

it was neat.
im going to go play some battlefront now.

my birthday was a lot of fun. the party went well and people showed up when i thought no one would.
and the bar birthday was good too.
my "22 and still kickin' a$$" shit was pretty cool.

my roommate is a tool.
i do not like him all that much, but he is just a kid and has never lived with someone outside of his family before. he moves my shit, uses my cd player and leaves the radio on when he falls asleep so i can hear it when i go to bed. i think im just going to take it and hide it in my room. and he hits on friends of mine and that burns my britches because he tries to get sympathy by telling everyone hes sooooo upset over breaking up with his girlfriend.
who is much more fun than him and im glad they broke up.
because i like hanging out with her and so do all of my friends.
but he cleans, and i do not, so i keep a lot to myself.

i also got my first tattoo.
its rad.
i love it.
its an open hand, like the michigan hand, with a compass rose in the middle. on my right upper arm.
represents me moving off in different directions in my life.
i love it.
and i want another.

the Wit

(56% dark, 34% spontaneous, 11% vulgar)

your humor style:

You like things edgy, subtle, and smart. I guess that means you're probably an intellectual, but don't take that to mean pretentious. You realize 'dumb' can be witty--after all isn't that the Simpsons' philosophy?--but rudeness for its own sake, 'gross-out' humor and most other things found in a fraternity leave you totally flat.

I guess you just have a more cerebral approach than most. You have the perfect mindset for a joke writer or staff writer.

Your sense of humor takes the most thought to appreciate, but it's also the best, in my opinion.

PEOPLE LIKE YOU: Jon Stewart - Woody Allen - Ricky Gervais

AND FINALLY -- after you rate my test with a sweet, sweet '5' -- you must take this test next: The Genghis Khan Genetic Fitness Test. It's not mine, but it rocks.
